You believe in what 'you' want to.
Here’s something about truth, it is rarely pure and never simple. There has always been something in your life that you don’t know about. Maybe, you know the half truth about it, or someone hid it from you or probably all you know is a lie.
You choose to be what you are, similarly, you choose to believe in what you believe. How do you know what to believe in and what not? Unfortunately, there’s no trick to it. Like how everyone has to live their lives alone and die alone, trusts and believes differ from person to person and they have to face all of it alone, the truth and the lies.
When you can live with a lie, without knowing something, why not? Why hunt for something that you’re not even sure of? Why try to pull the trigger in the dark without any target? That’s where curiosity and doubts start their work. The curiosity to know that one thing you doubt will be born on its own. You don’t have to do anything and you will not, once it is into existence it will do its job. It will push you to do anything to get to the end. It will make you believe in your beliefs with proofs and not just assumptions.
Some people choose to stay away from the truth, they don’t want to know it because they think it’ll break them or the others related to it. The decision of want to know the truth or not wanting to know it is completely up to the you. Nobody can force you to do anything against your will.
Take for an instance if five people along with you are involved in a situation and you’re not aware of what the truth is. All of you are going to be affected when the truth comes out. Some will be positively affected and some negatively. When you are deciding whether to dig in it or not, remember, everything will have its pros and cons, most important is you overlook the odds in order to do something for a greater good!
Probably, one truth can lessen the guilt that someone’s carried all this time. Maybe, one truth can bring somebody back to life. Could be that there’s someone out there who’s waiting to hear the truth but is unable to, due to certain circumstances.
If you are hiding a truth, know that there’s someone out there who’s deeply affected by that one lie. You must’ve lied because you were scared; you might have been afraid that it will hurt someone; you thought a lie for a good is okay! Well, no it’s not. It is so unfair for that person who you’ve lied to. That person is now afraid of the things. Instead of making the person stronger, by allowing him or her to face the truth, you made them much weaker by not letting them face it.
If you think you were protecting them, well then look at it the other way. Their immunity to face anything has not grown. They have, presumably, blamed themselves for being the cause of everything that happened where as it was not there fault at all. In a way you framed them.
It’s better to let them fall with a truth, than to let them walk with weight of guilt because of a lie. At least the who’s get hurt and then recover with a truth. With a lie, they will fall, they will lose faith in themselves, the world and you, perhaps their would will start falling apart. Imagine for that one lie how many cover ups you’ve made. When someone loses credence in you, you will never get it back. Apparently you are to decide what you do and what you have faith in.
Just how you need to survive alone, you need to let everyone heal alone. Just be there by their side.
Always think about everything when making decisions. Always make sure that you are sure. Always keep in mind to do anything and everything for a greater good. You have all the choices, it’s your call to decide what is right and what is wrong. I believe you will do the right thing!
Good lines!!
